Change that to ‘any of my posts’ and I have a new tag line.

It’s odd to think of OC as “enemy territory.” Not so long ago, that was Reagan country.

While Obama’s heritage shouldn’t be off-limits, we’ve had plenty of slave-trading Presidents.

Sorry. I had to EXERPT this article, at the request of the publisher.
In context, here is the FULL QUOTE referred to in that headline:
...As for Coulter's feelings about Orange County, she said that the first thing she thinks of is "Republican." "An insurgency in enemy territory is always an exciting place to be," she said.
This would mean that Ann believes ORANGE COUNTY itself is the "insurgency" within the "enemy territory" of CALIFORNIA.
I think. :o)

While Obamas heritage shouldnt be off-limits, weve had plenty of slave-trading Presidents. That would be all of them since the sixteenth amendment passed.

SOME may have been slave OWNERS, but unless I was asleep in history class that day, I cannot recall any President being a slave TRADER.

None of them had slave-trading as their primary vocation, but slave-owners routinely bought and sold slaves, so that slave-trading is indeed a valid description of their activity.

Ann is right about one thing in her book- people did not go to Africa to kidnap black people to make slaves, they went there because THAT IS WHERE THE SLAVE MARKETS WERE
Black people sold other black people.
ANd the USA was the nation that put a STOP to slavery

Actually, upon investigation, it turns out that Andrew Jackson was indeed an active trader of slaves in the 1790s, not just a buyer or seller for use in planting, as most of the others were

The Royal Navy of the U.K. did far more to stop the African slave trade than the U.S.

Garbage!
We fought a civil war where hundreds of thousands of Americans lost their lives to stop the slave trade here in the US.
The British effort pales in comparison.

Wow, now that’s a leap in logic. First, you claimed that Presidents were slave TRADERS. Now, you switch to include all the Presidents in with slave OWNERS who bought and sold slaves, calling them all slave TRADERS.
By that logic, since I own a car, I can be considered a car OWNER and a car TRADER. Nice try.
