I think there’s something I’m missing here. Public opinion is largely opposed to this stimulous package. Why doesn’t obama just walk away from it and try to not take responsibility instead of trying to ram it through the Senate? I’ve heard commentators saying that obama didn’t embraced the bill without knowing what was in it - so why doesn’t he go with that and try to save some of his positive polling?
Obama talks out both holes. He owns this baby regardless and it's his own damn fault. He is now proven that he is incompetent.

IMO, he needs to ram this pork laden bill through to pay back all those he owes for allowing him to rise out of the Chicago political sewer!
It’s too important a part of his socialist vision for America. What worries me is that I thought he was going to lead gradually to this. I didn’t expect to get it rammed down our throats the first several weeks. What he has in mind next worries me even more.
Because this might be the only chance he has of getting a massive number of new people on the Federal dole.
If he has to explain smaller pieces of socialist legislation from here on out it will be much harder to sell his overall program. He wants as much as he can get at once.
