The Inflation Theory proposes a period of extremely rapid (exponential) expansion of the universe during its first few moments. It was developed around 1980 to explain several puzzles with the standard Big Bang theory, in which the universe expands relatively gradually throughout its history. ... Inflation is now considered an extension of the Big Bang theory....Get it? Inflation was a very early and special moment in the ongoing expansion of the universe, but it is nothing more than an extension of the Big Bang theory. The inflation theory was proposed to explain observational problems with the initial Big Bang theory: the Horizon Problem, the Flatness Problem, and the Monopole Problem).
The site I linked to talked about both inflation and expansion. Could I have worded myself a bit more technically? Certainly, but I try to keep things simple for non-scientists. In case you haven't noticed, I usually link to simplified explanations rather than highly technical explanations out of courtesy for those who do not have scientific backgrounds. This is just a modestly complex technical paper on the monopole problem. While appropriate on a technical forum, I don't think that it would be helpful to post on your threads because the audience is different.
As the moderators told you the other night, I have a perfect right to respond to things that you post. In fact, if I mention you in a post, it is standard FR etiquette to include you in the ping. I'm just being a good Freeper. If you don't want me to respond to your posts, then don't post. [excerpt, bold emphasis mine]Exercising your rights takes precedent over being courteous?

I heard the mods loud and clear. I can’t stop you from pinging me on the threads I post (but I can stop you from stalking me). That is why I told you that if you ignore my wishes not to be bothered by your lying, slanderous self, then I was going to start posting examples of the same as my reply.
