So, I guess my only question would be are we going to see 3 or 4 million seething American citizens on the mall tomorrow screaming at their goverment for redress?

If not, do we as a country really care about this? This seems like a gauntlet that has been thrown down to see how the American public is going to react.

Who are we as a people?

The original plan was for the announcement not to be made until after President Obama meets with the families of victims of terrorist attacks on 9/11 and on the U.S.S. Cole Friday afternoon, where he will assure them that this step was not done to be lenient towards al-Nashiri.

The move is being done to stop the continued prosecution of al-Nashiri in a court system that his administration may ultimately find illegitimate, not for any other reason, sources told ABC News.

It’s already done by Susan Crawford. She may have taken the action to take some of the heat off the President. The President intends to find these Military commissions illegitimate. He has ordered the closing of Gitmo, and to stop all current Military commission prosecutions of these terrorists.

Three weeks into the administration and he is already releasing terrorists!

If he does this, I say lets flood the capital with pro American protests, emails, letters and phone calls — like the amnesty protests.

You have to think 5 steps ahead of Obama.

This is an end run around our court system.

We’re not currently signers onto the World Court in the Hague but we’ll soon be with this crowd.

ABC News: "Obama Likely to Order Charges Dropped Against Alleged U.S.S. Cole Bombing Mastermind"

I'm thinking of what it would take for irony to rule here.
