That's wonderful to know. It is a testament to all the airlines that employ experienced pilots.
I'll still take someone who has 2,000 hours of military aircraft experience, particularly including combat experience over a pilot with 2,000 hours in a Delta feeder.

No, you wouldn't. I'm not knocking the combat pilot's experience, but he'll tell you that it's all about experience in type. Think of them like two surgeons. One is a neurosurgeon, the other a cardiac surgeon. Both of them do incredible things and both will save your life, but each is best in his specialty.
