The more this pork bill is being pushed at us, the more I think it’s a con job.
I’m proud that the Republicans are finally showing some gumption.

After all this lip service we’ll see what the Republicans in the Senate do. Will they cave last minute like they usually do after they’ve “put on a good show” for the voters?

If it’s such a helluva good idea, the rats should cowboy up and pass it ... enjoying the full credit.

Its amazing what a total phone system meltdown will do.

He keeps saying he wants a bill by Presidents Day because of the last month economic figures. I am urging the President to think bigger than that. Its not about next month, its about the next decade to come. No, Lindsey. It's about the survival of the U.S. as a Constitutional Republic, you twit. We are in a great struggle over how to be governed. It's either a Republic based on its Constitution or it's an oligarchy. Right now, we're heading full steam for the latter.

Apparently the American public is getting more outraged by this bill by the minute. I’m willing to bet some DemoRATs even jump ship on this one, considering the way it’s tanking in the court of public opinion.
Of course, it will help if that brainless twit Nazi Pelosi keeps going on television and showing with each utterance that she’s completely unfit for public office.

At some point will Dirty Harry call for a vote and ram it through, or is their enough opposition for an effective filibuster?

I don’t know about a filibuster, but the rat Senators themselves are mightily unconvinced this is helpful to their longevity in office ...

Will they cave last minute like they usually do after theyve put on a good show for the voters? It seems voters are actually telling their Senators how they feel about this bill, and at least the Republican Senators are listening.
Of course, that doesn't mean they won't present their own 'stimulus' plan. In fact, I'm sure they will.
The key is that, when they do, we need to speak out against it just as loudly.

That's my concern also. The DemonRats want to peel off a few RINO's and claim a "bipartisan" victory. The Senate R leadership should man up, and "whip" the R senators--require that they all oppose the bill, with the threat of withholding their next election's funds from the R Senatorial Campaign Committee or the RNC.
I'd love to see the Senate R's behave like the British political parties: every member of a particular party will vote the same way on almost every vote. The R House members did it, and I think it was a master stroke.

Yes, it is. Now it's time to nuke the phone system. TV commercials are already starting by the Obama "campaign" for this "stimulus" bill.

The stimulus bill SHOULD be opposed by all Republicans just on principle. There are a lot of things in specific that they MUST oppose.
The funding of ACORN is one of the Obama's emergencies. ACORN must be funded quickly so that they can recruit and organize vastly greater numbers of volunteers nationwide before the elections of 2010 start. It is going to take hundreds of thousands of volunteers to organize all the homeless, the welfare contingent, the street gang members, and the millions of newly amnestied illegal aliens into a disciplined voting machine to sweep Republicans out of power forever.
