Not even 2 weeks in office and the "Boy Wonder" has already managed to turn the clock, by a decade, on US-India ties.

Is this debacle being caused by Obama's inexperience or his love for muslims of all shades/stripes?

Wow. He actually did say ‘barking up the wrong tree’.

Good stuff. The dem theory of roll-over-and-play-dead foreign policy is being debunked on the international stage.

The Pinata’s first month is right on track.

You know, what with all the emphasis on the Muslim and Arab worlds, the US policy of the importance of elections, apart from some reports on the BBC, there was virtually no coverage in the US TV media althought some in print.

Three major regions, all mountainous, a complex ballot, helicopters and security forces used to transport ballots and guard against jihadis, a substantial portion of the population voting - all ignored. The BBC managed to find some stubborn jihadis, anti India, railing against the polls. How many elections has Pukeistan run in “Azad” Kashmir? Zip, Zero.

Apart from the sheer accomplishment of pulling off an election in the most trying circumstances, the US media ignored the significance of elections in such a volatile region of the world. Muslims, voting mainly peacably, as part of a multiparty slate, in the largest democracy.

But, fret not, Holbrooke will not have Kashmir as an official part of his portfolio, but judging from the advisers(Ahmad Rashid, Barnett Rubin), Pakistan will have an substantial voice in lassoing Kashmir into the discussions.

I doubt it succeeds too much since Pakistan’s credibility is completely shredded and even their most staunch allies in the West offer tepid support, at best.
