Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) defended herself Wednesday against an ad featuring actress Ashley Judd that accuses her of championing the slaughter of wildlife.
In a statement released through the governors office, Palin called the ad, paid for by Defenders of Wildlife, reprehensible and hypocritical.
The ad campaign by this extreme fringe group, as Alaskans have witnessed over the last several years, distorts the facts about Alaskas wildlife management programs, Palin said. These audacious fundraising attempts misrepresent what goes on in Alaska, and I encourage people to learn the facts about Alaskas positive record of managing wildlife for abundance.
Shame on the Defenders of Wildlife for twisting the truth in an effort to raise funds from innocent and hard-pressed Americans struggling with these rough economic times, she continued.

Then again, Judd is just another celebrity idiot. Why should Palin even bother responding to these attacks? Remember the Quayle-Murphy Brown spat. “Murphy Brown”, who isn’t a real person anymore than Ashley Judd is, came out on top — at least for the length of time required for Bush to lose reelection. After that, articles started popping up about how Quayle might have been right after all. Palin might do better to stick to real political issues and not play the hands of the press and hollywood left.
Sarah Palin is 4 years older, has had 5 babies and looks 10 times better than Ashley....!!!
she’s a shoplifter, a nobody but for her mother
Those neck muscles don’t look healthy!
I wish that Sarah had gone a little further in clarifying that “ariel hunting” implies “hunting” and it is not.
Only Fish and Wildlife agents, at certain seasons and limited hours of the day can use an airplane to shoot wolves. All Alaskans can kill and trap wolves on the ground, and the bounty is available to those who do it within the strict game regulations.
Personally, the bounty isn’t nearly high enough for all the killings these wolves do here. The ad suggest that Alaskans can “hunt” wolves from airplanes. That’s just not true.
Ashley Judd has not been in a hit or artisticly meaningful film (general release or made for TV) in years. Ashley is either pushing 40 (or has pushed it to 42 depending upon the webpage you read)...therefore, Ms. Judd must make herself noteworthy for her political activism. Supporting 0bama...well, everyone did that. Support all abortions at all times...the list of feminista celebs narrows considerably...being willing to make yourself a 'spokesperson' yikes...even in Hollywood most publicists understand that is a radioactive issue...that you don't want you client to touch...but, if your client's phone isn't ringing anyways (the whole age 40 coupled w/one dimensional performances)...you can get your 'cred' by being a social activist (think Susan Sarandon w/o Tim Robbins). Now...add in a willingness to go after hunters (who are gun owners, Second Amendment types) and the popular in her circles to malign and insult the policies and Governor of Alaska you have a twofer...why...Bill O'Reilly, Oprah, Entertainment Tonite...well somebody will 'call' about this latest civil rights stance by Ms. Judd and of course, the 'dis' by that white trash Governor of Alaska. (Kentucky b-ball reference) it is a slam dunk for Ms. Judd. BUT...
Ashley also has a lucrative (well they have to pay her something) advertising campaign with Kohl's Department Stores. Judd is the 'face' of their American Beauty Line of cosmetics. Kohl's should be made aware of any customer (or potential customer's) offense at Ms. Juddd's political stands. If she wants to talk the talk...well, girlfriend needs to walk the walk financially, because googling her (I did this for another FR thread recently) the ONLY work she has currently is the Kohl's endorsement.
Someone should tell the celebutard that the exploding wolf population is decimating the caribou population, esp. the young. That means her stance is pro-killing-baby-caribou. If it was pro-killing-baby-humans, she’d think it was OK, but we’re talking baby dear. She’ll probably cry.
What, does she want them to bring in the whole carcass?
Exactly right.
Let Ashley adopt a wolf (as I did, who was on death row) and see what happens.
Wolves rock, but they hunt anything and everything.
WHAT!? And eat the offspring of the bean plants and the heart and soul of the poor potato plants?
No...Ashley Judd is not the noted celeb shoplifter. Ashley’s sister is Winona Judd (she is currently on TV—looking very good btw—in Alli diet ads). Winona Judd is also not a shoplifter. The infamous shoplifter of celebdumb is Winona Ryder. Winona Ryder has been arrested multiple times...had rehab...been arrested again...and Ryder most recently ‘misplaced’ (wink, wink) some borrowed jewels (from Harry Winston possibly) that she wore at a European awards show. Ryder is also known for her stupidity at breaking up w/Johnny Depp (they were engaged).
I used to be embarassed by my celeb knowledge...but someday, when I build a blog...it will come in handy...
;)PaMom
You adopted a wolf who was on death row???
She’s got little... bumps under her shirt.
Palin suggests “Learn the Facts”. For that see “Understanding Predator Management in Alaska”, http://www.wildlife.alaska.gov/management/control/predator_booklet.pdf
24 pages, nicely done and informative.
Excerpt:
These mandates can create potential user conflicts, such as those created where predators (e.g. wolves) are temporarily manipulated (i.e. killed) to benefit prey species (e.g. moose) important to Alaskans for food.
Greg Gutfeld tore Judd apart on Red Eye last night on Fox News. It was CLASSIC.
I did. She was the most amazing dog I’ve ever owned, if you overlook the carnage around the yard: first deer and then neighbor’s pets.
Wolves are like cats: they bring their prey home for you to ‘admire’.
Just another Hollyweird singer actress slut whore.
