Yes... You could see this coming....
Obama isn’t gonna take the typically liberal slant that the White House shouldn’t be funding faith-base groups. He instead is going to loudly proclaim the goodness of faith-based groups.
The catch is that these faith-based groups are gonna be chock full of mainline Protestant political actions groups and their activists. The United Methodist Church’s Board of Church and Society, for example, must be salivating at the new powers they will have by affiliating their faith-based group with the Obama regime.
Trouble is, the mainline denoms are — at the high leadership and agency levels — no longer advocates of Jesus Christ, but merely political action bodies with the (dwindling) rank and file laity serving as a weekly fund-raising vehicle. Their “faith” is the ideology of the political left. Jesus is no longer the supernatural saver of souls, but the name-dropped product endorsement figurehead advocating wealth transfers, bigger U.S. government, homosexuality, abortion, Islam, pacifism, the United Nations, race-baiting, and victim politics.
