Dang, my wife and I are both 55. We are adopting my wife's daughter's daughter, who's seven months old. She has been with us since August and the legal adoption process moves slowly, another 6 weeks and we go in front of the judge for final decree. It would get ugly if a judge tried to pull that crap on us.

Good for you! I remember getting lambasted here some time ago when I made the statement that I wouldn’t ever consider letting flesh and blood out of the family.

They were in their 70’s!
