“Generals are loath to enter this process. They generally keep their mouths shut if they disagree with a POTUS.”
With exception to those who were supporting kerry in 2004, and the others who trashed President Bush in ‘05 or ‘06.

You need to reread what I posted. At no time do I suggest the military take control. What I am saying is there are provisions set up (and I don't recall where) for our Joint Chiefs to be able to remove a dictator, enemy of the state or what have you, from the office of President of the United States should they collectively decide that he/she is working to destroy our Constitution and endanger the security of our country.
Reading what I have written you will see that under my understanding of what I've learned the traitorous president would be given an opportunity to stop his illegal activities or be arrested at which point the next "civil authority" in the chain of command (The VP) would be our new president.
Obviously the removed president would have to be tried and impeached for the removal to stand but in the case of a national security emergency, which I believe we are headed towards, what I am suggesting can be carried out.
Look. I'm not here to argue about this. I know there is something to what I am trying to articulate and I just can't remember what it is. I was hoping there might be someone educated in this particular area that could shed some light on it.
Be well.

OK, I got it. I was not sure if you were being facetious or not.
I must say, it appears The Messiah’s usurped presidency is unravelling faster than I thought possible.

I dont think I said that you favored the military taking control. If it would return us to the constitutuion, I myself, would be all for it.

Legally or practically?
Practically speaking, its how power changed for all but the last 250 years or so.
The first Irish king not to die by the sword was in 630 AD. For about 500 years, they all died by the sword.

Well, between the Obama mandate to cut 10% from the military budget, his sending $40 billion of tax payer money to Palestine and his refusing to listen to the generals about about troop withdrawal from Iraq, I would say the end result will be fewer young men and women joining the armed forces. There goes our security.

“I will elect to think you worded it badly and didn’t mean it the way it came across.
If I’m wrong - let me know so I can write you off as a patriot.”
It was sarcasm.

But Obama informed Gates, Petraeus and Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen that he wasn't convinced and that he wanted Gates and the military leaders to come back quickly with a detailed 16-month plan, according to two sources who have talked with participants in the meeting. Russia, China, Iran, the EU he backs down from.
With Americans, he's fearless and ferocious.

Good - that's what I hoped, although I'm not the only one that didn't read it that way.
At anyrate...we're on the same side!
