I’m afraid to admit this, but part of me wants franken to steal the victory. Having him in congress “helping” the rats spread their message is probably going to help us more than having 1 more Republican senator.

In other words I think Franken may hurt the democrats more than coleman can help us. Not knocking coleman...it’s just that Franken is that bad.

**Wow! Do you really want to take that chance? Be careful what you wish for...***

Coleman wimped out on offshore drilling, global warming legislation and he's not convincing on RKBA. Minnesota needs a senator from the more conservative southern part of the state.

It’s been very disappointing to see Coleman utter such nonsense. I’ve never been a fan; seems like a massive tool who sticks his finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing (ANWAR, climate change). Stealing lines from tired Democrat cliches.

No, there is no reason they might be for Coleman but as he says.. all ballots need to be counted not just a selective few.

Besides the fact that Frunken is hot to keep them from being counted says something in itself.

Exactly - Franken knows he pulled a fast over Normie, and was trying to run out the clock. Again, the Minnesota Supreme Court massively screwed up by going outside Minnesota statute to allow the campaigns to review rejected absentee ballots and open/count the ballots they agreed were improperly rejected. If they hadn't, Coleman would most likely have been ahead after the recount, and it would be Franken filing the contest.

In this phase, the judges should be reviewing all of the rejected absentee ballots to see which ones were improperly rejected, not just those complained about by one or both sides. The whole point of this process (recount/election challenge) is to try to determine the rightful winner. Shouldn't be counting/reviewing just part of these ballots. Hopefully the state legislature will address this when they revise our election laws.

I still want Coleman to win, though. You’re right, the election board did appear to violate Minnesota law by allowing the absentee ballots to be counted in the first place. And it’s amazing how previously uncounted ballots were somehow found. Coleman seemed to fall asleep on this whole thing.

Minnesota voted against Ronald Reagan TWICE. It has also sent democrats to congress pretty consistently in the last 25 years. The last guy who held coleman’s seat was a huge liberaltard. Even after his death, his dem replacement was set to win the seat until the democrats decided to heavily politicize the funeral.

Coleman is the best we can expect from Minnesota. Hell, he’s been better than I expected given that Minnesota is more far-left than Maine and Maine has traditionally been a republican stronghold.

Minnesota needs a senator from the more conservative southern part of the state.

Aside from Rep. John Kline, there really isn't anyone in the bullpen (I love Michelle Bachman, but I don't think she'd do well in a state-wide race; they've already been treating here like Sarah Palin since she was in the legislature). The state legislators have been less than inspiring, so hopefully someone will be able to break through the moderates/liberals who run the state party.

Dang, I clicked on this thread hoping that Gary Coleman was declared the winner of the election for Governor here in California.

Dang, but good for Norm Coleman

There was a state rep from S. MN who I thought was going to go places. He was around in 93-94 or so when we lived in Prior Lake. I’ve forgotten his name...

This report (link), hot off the press, signifies a victory for Norm Coleman in the election contest with Al Franken: the court hearing the contest has ruled that "all absentee ballots that complied with state law should be counted, along with those where errors occurred through no fault of the voter." Franken has been trying to prevent a number of ballots that complied with state law from being counted.
Is Franken already voting? If so, and Coleman winds up certified as the winner, none of Franken's votes can be included in the totals.

Franken was never seated. As it stands the seat is vacant.

Thanks for explaining it so well.
Count all ballots—Coleman
Only count some ballots—Frunken, the freak clown.

Oops something came up missing in my post. Let's try this again.

If Franken wins, it won't be because he stole anything.

If Franken wins it will be because of Sorass money and/or lefty judges who don't allow all ballots to be counted whether they are for Coleman or Franken.

Why weren’t those absentee ballots being counted?

Because commie/socialist rats only want their voice to be heard.

So, they work to remove the voice of those who oppose them. And if that don't work, they will go after the integrity and character of those who stand against them.

He's on of the trio of Minneapolis guys (all lawyers I think) that run the Powerline blog, one of the best conservative blogs out there. Give it a try.
