I committed a sin of omission. The last TWO sentences together were silly. Anchor babies do not become Natural Born Citizens, which is the status required for POTUS.
That would be the interpretation of the 14th amendment I would favor, but unfortunately the question isn't settled.
But I don't see how this applies to Obama, since he was not an anchor baby. Both his parents were legal residents at the time of his birth.
