BS, the first one presented has been proved a fraud. I've scanned tons of things, am photoshop proficient and there is no way of getting rid of folds with out being able to tell. You're right "African" is not a race nor does it have any legal connotation for the perposes of a BC.

Not all scanners are equal. Folds don't always show up clearly, though they are there if you look carefully.

In many instances, yes you can. In point of fact, there is no standard legal definition of race.
