Someone on FR yesterday said part of the deal is that the replacement senator would not run in the next election. Does anyone know if that is true?No idea.
If so, maybe Senator Sununu should try a comeback...

ABSOLUTELY! This will be an open seat in 2010, and the Democrats will be hankering for a pickup. Our best shot is with someone with enough heft to take on the state.
Sununu could pull it off.
