I wanted the Club for Growth endorsed guy, Tom Brinkman even though he opposed capital punishment.

But of course i was perfectly fine with Schmidt and glad DeWine Jr. lost.

Schmidt unfortunately for whatever reason has been a woeful underperformer almost losing the seat in 2006 and got under 50 in a 3-way last year. The bitter primary in 2005 was part of the reason we almost lost it then to that Hackett tool (not the red or the blue but the red white and blue! was his slogan) but even in bad years there was no call for her to do so poorly in 06 and 08. I hope to see an easier win next year.

“My Way or the Highway mentality is getting very tiresome. Michael Steele was not my choice and not perfect but he’s a hell of lot better than having Mike Duncan or Saul Anuzis at the helm.”

There’s certainly no need to be dissing Steele before he’s done anything yet. Firing everyone was an excellent first step by him. I’m inclined to think he’ll do a good job.

Duncan was a joke. His argument was that as the incumbent he could best bring change. Anuzis wasn’t a bad guy but Michigan was an epic fail under his watch, not his fault entirely but he acted like there was nothing he could have done which is of course absurdly untrue.
