If you walk out, you split the conservative vote and ensure perpetual victory for those of evil intent.

Very few want abortion - not even most self-identified pro-choicers. I believe something like only 20% favor current abortion policy as determine by Roe, to say nothing of FOCA.

Let's start acting like the majority that we are, and in doing so - not in a cocky way - win over those who are reasonable people, for whom abortion is not a #1 issue. Let's not act like kooks.

Wrong. I make them fight for my vote rather than take it for granted.

Steele and those like him are abandoning the pro-lifers in an attempt to seek compromise and common ground with the pro-aborts. Well the pro-aborts are firmly in the democrat camp and doing rather well. The pro-lifers have been firmly in the republican camp, but it seems the republicans could give a damn about us. Well at this point the feeling is mutual.

I will support pro-life candidates. I will no longer support an organization that seeks common ground with pro-abortionists. The Republican party is doing just that. Hence, I can no longer consider myself a "Republican".

Have you ever heard the story of Gideon?

It is best to leave. The GOP has spent the last decade deceiving religious conservatives.

I am also now independent, and in looking at parties, I'm struck by the Godly positions of the Constitution Party, and by the fact that it's guided by everyday people.

Sometimes, less is better IF it is the heart of quality.
