We can reach out to people and not concede our principles at the same time. We need to grow the party, not shrink it.
Afraid to admit that we were right about Steele's position on abortion?
You were warned that Steele was not pro-life but you turned a blind eye. You refused to acknowledge that his position is that he wants to keep abortion legal and does not want to have the courts overturn Roe v. Wade.
Well, it turns out that Steele is no more pro-life or pro-family than your typical democrat who claims they are both pro-life and pro-choice.
The only reason people were promoting Steele was because he was black and everyone seemed to overlook his positions on gun control, affirmative action and abortion.
BTW Steele has caused me to finally decide to unregister as a Republican. If this is the best the Republicans can do for a Chairman, one who wants to "reach out" to abortionists and people promoting a radical homosexual agenda, then I can no longer be a Republican.
Steele will not "grow" the Republican party by appeasing abortionists and anti-family groups. He is going to do nothing but undermine the party, which he did today.
