I sent the link to Vicki McKenna and Mitch Henck, our local Conservative Talk Radio hosts. :)
The largest institution to fail in U.S. history, Washington Mutual Inc., was sold to JPMorgan Chase & Co. Sept. 25 after customers drained $16.7 billion in deposits in less than two weeks. Wachovia Corp. was near failure before being bought by Wells Fargo & Co. for $12.7 billion.

This is the only way to fight back. Target Tarped Banks and make a run on them, drain them of deposits, SHUT THE BANKS DOWN.
OR
Wait for this to happen..........
.........
......Jan. 31 (Bloomberg) — Banks in Florida, Maryland and Utah were closed yesterday as regulators wrapped up the busiest month for failures since the housing slump began in 2006.
Six banks have failed this month as tumbling home prices and a 16-year high in unemployment boost foreclosures. The FDIC classified 171 banks as problem in the third quarter, a 46 percent jump from the previous period amid the worst housing crisis since the Great Depression

But these are requests nor requests that are being granted right?
My understanding is these are the requests in Pelosi’s bill, that make up BHO’s $1.173 trillion stimulus.
IT’S A WISH LIST! NOT a disbursement list.
It IS a wish list, AND the decision to vote for or against it is usually political, rather than a decision based on what is best for the country.
My point is that non of these projects might not be funded.
Check out the $175 million dollar Oregon stimulus package,
then get sick....
Wow - I don’t see anything that even remotely resembles “stimulus”. It’s all pork projects. What a farce. What a complete farce.
Just sent it to Boortz.
I totally agree; sickening.
You want to hear something sickening? Beloit Wisconsin wants $1,000,000 for TWO hybrid transit buses.
And cedarburg wants another 10 million to build a library on a ‘contaminated site’. you’d think that there would be a non-contaminated place in cedarburg to build a library.
Sickening, yes. Surprising, no. And what really sucks is that there’s nothing better than the smell of diesel bus exhaust, especially on a hot summer day. Memories of childhood...
the thing is they’re asking for another $263,538 to replace three other buses. beloit is just ridiculous with the shit they’re asking for.
