That MIGHT be a good question, but when that question was asked after Katrina, we were all told that the state of Louisiana shouldn’t HAVE to ask, it should all just happen, remember??
You probably know this, but here it is anyway.
The Federal Government cannot do anything in a state of this nature unless invited by the state government.
President Bush offered Federal help, but the Governor of Louisiana didn't ask for several days.
That was the problem, the arrogance of the leadership of the state, and of course Nagin also.
When they finally asked for federal help, it came in.
And the fact it was late was of course blamed on President Bush instead of the democrats that delayed the help.
Are the buses still underwater and the majority of the FEMA trailers still in another state?
And thats my point exactly. Obama should “know” that he needs to act. He should not have to be asked just like Katrina.
CNN and the drive by media has been absent from reporting on that.
