WASHINGTON The "War on Terror" is losing the war of words.
The catchphrase burned into the American lexicon hours after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, is fading away, slowly if not deliberately being replaced by a new administration bent on repairing the U.S. image among Muslim nations.
Since taking office less than two weeks ago, President Barack Obama has talked broadly of the "enduring struggle against terrorism and extremism." Another time it was an "ongoing struggle."
He has pledged to "go after" extremists and "win this fight." There even was an oblique reference to a "twilight struggle" as the U.S. relentlessly pursues those who threaten the country.

...ANd her name is Sarah!!
What is sickening is he is cutting the military and this summer the troops will have to make their oath to the office of the president and NOT the Constitution. People have said this is not true but a relative in the military has said it is true.
We need to see his birth certificate now.
All personnell in the Armed Forces and those of us who have left active duty many years ago swore an oath to the Constitution. Swearing fealty to a king would violate that oath. I can only speak for myself but I would never do it. I’d go to Leavenworth and hunt jihadists during yard breaks.
The article is right. The phrase “The War on Terror” is soon going to be replaced by “The Genocide of the Jews” and “The Great EMP Blackout of 2010.”
People have said it is a myth but supposedly this summer the military will have to swear their oath to the office of the president NOT the Constitution. The Obots are saying it is not true. This is sickening.
We need to send up lawsuits with military plaintiffs to SCOTUS asking for the (kenyan) birth certificate.
This is similar to the oath taken by the German Wehrmacht to Hitler. The Fuhrerprinzip lives! Good Lord, has it really come to this?
He promised change, but so far, this is worse than MORE OF THE SAME as he put it.
I’d say, “Clinton, for all of his faults, doesn’t want to see the country attacked,” but then I remember how he sold us out to the Chinese.
Oh really? Bill Clinton came into office promising to socialize medicine, relax rules on abortion put in place by a Republican administration, and other liberal dreams. On April 19, 2003, almost three months to the day of taking the oath of office that he repeatedly broke over his eight year Presidency, his administration incinerated almost 80 American citizens at Waco. Not content with that, underlings who could provide plausible deniability to Clinton were illegally obtaining the FBI files of some 1,100 Republicans while the IRS was instructed to systematically audit every single Republican and conservative media and advocacy group like the Heritage Foundation, National Review, American Spectator and the NRA.
And before you say that's all domestic, not international, here is the infamous, though not exhaustive, list of Bill Clinton's terrorism milestones:
1993---WTC attacked, President Bill Clinton does nothingTell us again how Bill Clinton didn't act like Obama is now.
1993---US soldiers in Mogadishu denied armored reinforcements, 18 die in battle, some of their bodies dragged through the streets, President Bill Clinton denies request to continue fighting and withdraws forces
1995---Clinton Justice Dept sets up wall that prevents FBI and CIA communication
1996---Osama Bin Laden offered to US by Sudan, President Bill Clinton declines
1996---Khobar Towers attacked, President Bill Clinton does nothing
1998---Embassies in Tanzania and Kenya attacked, President Bill Clinton bombs aspirin factory in Sudan
2000---USS Cole attacked, President Bill Clinton does nothing
Wouldn’t it be nice to finally cast a vote that is not the lesser of two evils?
I was not defending Clinton. Obama is acting more marxist right out of the box than anyone. You completely missed my point go back and read.
The debate with our misunderstood friends.
We are fortunate. The One is a master debater, or so I'm told... ;-)
