Asked about appearing with a pol who's being probed for failing to pay taxes, Shulman said, "He's one of the leaders in this country on tax policy issues. I work closely with him every day, and I'm honored to be on this stage with him."

The word "honored" ceases to have any meaning when it gets attached to official dealings with Charlie Rangel over matters of taxation. Shulman could have simply said something along the lines of, "Look, it's my job to work with the good congressman until he's actually convicted of something." Then again, that might not be sufficiently diplomatic. Split the difference, but don't abuse the word "honored".
All the more reason for both to resign.

Yep. They should all be in jail...right now, today, this very minute. But because the are of the “elite”, the rule over those us considered the “unwashed masses” and “serfs”, they will always get a free pass over the laws that the rest of us go to jail for if we should break them. It is the epitome of whats wrong with our government today and why so many of us that do abide by the laws of the land are so totally disgusted with it. It smacks of elitism and corruption.
And to have some high smuck IRS critter to stand tall with Rangel reeks of hippocracy and is a slap in the face to those of us that work for living and pay taxes under the heavy, iron-fisted rule of the IRS...and don’t you dare miss a penny’s payment due to em either, serf!!
