Yeah, we better worry...only a century ago the government moved to stop a growing war between a bunch of violent mineworkers who were attacking "scabs" (a really contemptible and hateful term for innocent people willing to work for wages and under conditions that the strikers weren't) and the Colorado National Guard, thereby preventing even greater loss of life. They did it by deploying federal troops.

That really worries me. Why, they have been using troops against us constantly since then...not.

A lot of things were done back in the early 20th century that wouldn't be tolerated today. Fascism was a growing threat and civil liberties were violated regularly. I hardly think there will be a return to those days. Today the skunks use more subtle means.

It's the courts and our own legislators we should be worrying about and politics is the tool for victory, not revolution.

Get a grip.

>>Yeah, we better worry...only a century ago

I've been to the Ludlow monument many times, having grown up in Colorado and heard the history from both sides.

As I said, the incident is a perfect example of the evils of Corporatism which is Collectivism which is Communism.  They are not separate, but, as Orwell recognized, synergistic.

Maybe you think company/syndicate owned towns and their script controlled serfdom/enslavement were/are a great idea?

Yes it was a century ago - and our would-be Oligarchs are betting that sheeple like you are too stupid to learn from history and see the parallels between then and now; and too stupid to recognize the observable patterns tied to exploitable human nature - the same patterns that have been recurring for as long as there has been human nature and human history.

It's the same exploitive nature the Oligarchs used to put Comrade Chairman Obama in the Oval Office.

Tyranny of the Appetite.

Same ol’ Same ol’.

>>Fascism was a growing threat

Fascism is mandated subjugation and worship of the structure of governance.   It's a behavior - not a "movement".

Corporatism == Collectivism == Communism; all forms of the same collectivist nature documented throughout the Bible, and generaly named in that book as Baal.

Welcome to New Rome.  So long as the supply of Bread and Circuses was not diminished, the people of Rome were perfectly willing to worship whatever god the state mandated - and not much has changed

Bread and Circuses - something to remember as folks stuff their obese, beer swilling gullets with nachos during the Super Bowl tomorrow.

>>and civil liberties were violated regularly.

And they're not today?   Worked in a Communist Chinese "Capitalist" shoe factory lately?

Out of sight, out of mind?
