I don’t think he’s being a moron, actually. I believe it’s planned this way all along. He received huge amounts of campaign donations from muslims worldwide and I have no doubt their proviso was for the zero to weaken the U.S. position. Look at Gitmo, the al-Arabiya interview, the “conciliatory” tone vis-a-vis muslims and now this. I think he’s acting on orders, not stupidity or naivete.
