Obama’s friendly overture followed by Iran’s insulting rejection allows Obama to say “I tried” before he resumes America’s hard line stance against Iran. I think this was a necessary and useful step for Obama to take.
I’m saying Obama can make his overture useful but I doubt that he’ll do it.
When I look at my president I want to see an eagle with flesh-tearing beak and flesh-grabbing claws. I want to see an extreme patriot. I don’t want someone who leads off with confessions of America’s mistakes.

I dont want someone who leads off with confessions of Americas mistakes. Why not? What do you expect from someone who soaked up his pastor's preaching G-d d---n America for 21 years.

someone who leads off with confessions of Americas mistakes.someone who leads spouts off with confessions of Americas mistakes. There fixed it...0's no leader! just another useful tool of the KGB, an anachronism...back to the 70's we go! The CPUSA fronted Kerry and now 0, both card-carrying communists! Recognition is half the cure!

You know, old Ben Franklin wanted the Turkey to be the National Bird. I think "the current administration" would vote for the chicken.
