US President Barack Obama's offer to talk to Iran shows that America's policy of "domination" has failed, the government spokesman said on Saturday.
"This request means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed," Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.
"Negotiation is secondary, the main issue is that there is no way but for (the United States) to change," he added.
After nearly three decades of severed ties, Obama said shortly after taking office this month that he is willing to extend a diplomatic hand to Tehran if the Islamic republic is ready to "unclench its fist".

So true!
Refer to my post #118 !
It's even worse than that.
The US regime is now anti-capitalist!
There ya go, the white flag goes out and Iran is quick to seize upon it and declare victory and paint the USA into the losers corner. How many of us said this would happen if O tried to reach out to them. This will do nothing but further humiliate us in the eyes of the world.
So when all the liberals said they wanted the world to like us again, they really meant they wanted the world to humiliate us.
Clearly Iran’s govt is a lot smarter than Obama and the Democrats. Wonder if he’s smart enough to learn. I know the Democrats aren’t.
epic fail
That’s funny... Drudge is running this headline on his website.
I wonder why Drudge was running pro-Obama propoganda during the Dem primaries and some of the general election (until it was obvious McCain would lose anyway)?
He's been too busy...
Nobama will manage to get Americans killed.
You know what kills me about the mainstream media - they treated this a fault. They wanted Bush to wear sackcloth and ashes like Obama is all but doing without realizing the words mean things and have consequences. So now we have Obama talking down the economy (way to boost consumer confidence there Mr. President) and getting bitchslapped by our enemies. This will be an adventure...
Its going to be 1977-1981 all over again
Or much worse

Hell, them was the good old days, boys.
“This will be an adventure...”

Nope, I’ve had an adventure, an adventure is something you may not want to repeat right away but you are glad for the experience. We ain’t gonna be glad for this experience. This is gonna be a real nightmare, one o’ them oversized, snortin’, buckin’, trample all over us nightmares. We talkin’ an oh, please bring back the Carter years kind of nightmare!

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
11 days into Carter’s 2nd term and we are already licking a dictators hand.
No, no, no. The letter is just a feint, a left jab if you will. Monday he’s sending in the right hook - flowers-n-candy!
This is rich. Iran is already calling our new president a failure. Will the Obama love fest media notice?
