To: Ruy Dias de Bivar

Seems you had a plan which one needs for these type situations. I was in Memphis, Tn Thursday and it was interesting to see as we were driving up from the South that at a point about 10-15 miles south of Memphis is where the ice/snow line began. I’m sure there was ice/snow futher south but it apparently wasn’t as much.

I remember the March 14, 1968 snowstorm here and have been prepared ever since.

“A dry front” the weatherman in Tulsa said, we got over two feet of snow with drifts which shut down the area for weeks.

I learned to keep two cans of STERNO, matches, blankets and hard candy in the auto in case you are trapped in one of these storms. I still do that today.
