I think that if Mr. Steele fails to repudiate his former remarks, brightly, clearly, directly, it is his supporters who will be damaging the cause of life.
I just can't wait (barf) to see the commercials by the Party of Satan saying, “Democratic Rep. So-and-So really IS pro-life, even if he accepts that Roe should stand. After all, that's the position of the CHAIRMAN OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!”
There are about a million variations on that theme.
I see this all around me in Maryland, where my Party of Satan friends tell me that they really are pro-life even if they vote for the POS filth, that one doesn't have to hold that Roe should go to be pro-life.
Letting Mr. Steele be chairman of the party WITHOUT requiring him to repudiate his former remarks cripples the pro-life movement.

Few are clinging to those former remarks but you. Look at the whole man - he’s pro-life. I hope I never make a verbal gaffe around you.
