Wow. I feel like a moron. I had no idea. My grandmother and aunt both died from breast cancer. I have not donated, but I will no longer support their pink cause.
My grandmother, aunt/godmother and my wife’s grandmother have all had breast cancer and mastectomies within the past three three years. NOBODY disputes that it is a devastating and horrible disease, but I will not support an organization that uses money to promote murder. Moreover, I can think of no good reason why the Komen Foundation would spend a dime on anything other than breast cancer research.
