I have a long history with Norway. I have very dear friends who live their. I love them so much.
However they are so happy about Obama and are so brainwashed with Bush Hatred....in fact they do not even know much about Reagan...believe the Berlin Wall would have come down without him?? Yes, go figure.
Its like they live in a bubble.
When I first visited in 1983 as a teen I did meet several Muslim business owners. All were nice but I was not thinking like I am today.
When I hear about items such as this I really am concerned about the country of Norway and their unique identity being eliminated. Its scary.
Bubble is fairly accurate. Schools and media are extremely leftist. Home-schooling is illegal and government tries to prevent private schools in an effort to avoid class differences. 10+ years of compulsory extreme leftist indoctrination is bound to have an influence.
Frp - the capitalist ‘progress party’, is the main (only real) opposition party, and usually has the support of 20-30% of the population. Opinion polls among journalists have shown that if the rest of the pouplation voted like the journalists do Frp would get no representatives to parliament. That’s how leftist the media is.
Of course people here are happy about Obama. The media tells them about Bush’s corruption, but says nothing about Clinton’s many wrongdoings. The media says nothing about Obama’s drug habits or his associations with terrorists, but portrays Palin as a Christian extremist and says her son had to join the army to avoid legal issues because of drugs. As a child I always wondered what it was like living behind the iron curtain. Nowadays I know fairly well - western media have become the new Pravda. And this time there is no Radio Free Europe around...
You guys certainly should be paying more attention to what happens on this side of the pond. Norway used to be a country of strong family values, work ethics and Christianity. We used to watch american crime and social statistics with horror. ‘American conditions’ is the term used for the moral and legal decay when I was a child. Today the same loose morals and crime statistics are seen in Norway too, and I never hear the term used any longer. Norway lags a few years behind the US in most of these statistics, but there is no denying that we are headed down the same path. Such is the power of the media.
Glad to hear is alisasny.
Though there are still some here fighting. Quite a few actually.
In polls, something like 70 percent want stricter immigration etc. But, the polticos follow their agenda anyhow.
Sounds familiar, huh?
Anyhow. We will win.
But, Norway will never be the same.
