It's a visit that promises a little of the glamour that swirled through the streets when John F. Kennedy and his wife arrived for a state visit in May, 1961.
U.S. President Barack Obama will arrive at the Canadian capital in the morning of Feb. 19 and could be home before dark. There will be no state dinner or eloquent speeches to the Canadian people. And his wife could well stay home.
But Mr. Obama's visit still promises to dazzle a mostly adoring country. Ajay Puri and other members of Canadians for Obama plan to be part of it.
"C'mon, this is Obama," Mr. Puri said when asked whether he would actually travel all the way from his home in Vancouver.

"For all of us, this is really big," he said. "A guy e-mailed me yesterday to say 'I already booked a hotel. I can't wait to see him.' And I have another person from Ottawa saying, 'If you need people to stay, let me know, I can offer my house.' "

But seriously folks....
Presidential visits to Canada have always been marked by protests from the rent-a-crowd expressing the usual liberal anti-American grievances.
It alarms me to think that he might be met with the same worshipful reverence that his American acolytes give him. It will be further proof just how bad he is.
Then prepared to be alarmed. The world thinks “the one” is their savior....the world is under his control.
Maybe they will keep him....we can HOPE.
Bite your tongue. We didn’t even want his buddy Ayers. We have enough of their kind here already!
Let's hope the @$$hole asks for and is granted political asylum.
I just got off the phone with my friend about the coming Papal visit. He strongly believes that Obama has done more for the world in his first week as president than George Bush did in eight years and that he is currently-based on his achievements THE greatest American president in US history. His crowning achievement was closing Guantanamo Bay prison, and sending all the innocent people free. He really believes in CHANGE (from a fact-based to a fictional world)
I just received e-mail from a friend in Europe who is falling over herself congratulating me for having such a “wonderful new president.”
