I’m confused..

How can nearly 2 million blacks get into Washington DC in sub zero temps in 1 day, when 200,000 couldn’t get out of New Orleans in 85 degree weather, with four days notice?

Curious...the media would not bring this up...but I thought it was an interesting question.

Yours is a good kind of confusion.

“I'm confused”...”200000 couldn't get out of New Orleans..”

That is a complex question. I asked a Katrina evacuee who now lives here and I attend church with. I questioned him a while back on why people didn't get out. He gave several reasons, and here they are in no particular order.
1-New Orleans is a very corrupt city, you have a lot of people in positions they don't belong in. There either wasn't a good evacuation plan in place or it wasn't followed.
2-The Governor and Mayor were both incompetent. (Both democrats BTW. He also said he thinks it would have been a lot different if Bobby Jindal was Gov. when Katrina hit.) 3-Some people stayed to protect their property.(Refer to # 1) 4-You have a large population that is poor and/or on assistance. They didn't have the means or they didn't have the mindset to get themselves and their families out. He loaded his wife and children up in their car and sent them north to stay with family, while he stayed. Once the levees broke, it was to late to try and move all the people. He was at Morial Center and said it was literally Hell on Earth. And, for the record, he is Black and was living in the lower 9th ward.He said if people learn anything from Katrina, it should be you have to be responsible for yourself. He said the only fault he had with Bush was not stepping in sooner when it was obvious to anyone there that the situation was in complete chaos. That's the story I got from an evacuee, it makes a lot of sense to me.

Sorry I replied before I finished. To answer your question, which you probably already know the answer to, let me answer with a question. Do you really think the MSM media is going to blame anybody when you have Bush as the whipping boy?
