Carp, Bill Bennett gets it wrong: Bill Bennett Takes Rush Limbaugh To Task For Saying He Hopes Obama Fails. My response, and it does depend upon the report being accurate and not stuffing words in Bennett's mouth, was:
Bill, Bill, Bill ... even I understood that Rush meant for the policies to fail, and not the man. Sheesh ... listen to Obama's speech yesterday, the one Rush played in counterpoint to him saying the exact opposite earlier in the month. If only Obama actually believed yesterday's speech, he would be honor bound to rip up the Pelosi bill and embrace the Republican bill. And that, Mr. Bennett, would be how Obama would succeed even while his campaigned upon policy failed.For crying out loud, use your intellect,man!!!
Bennett wouldn’t even have an AM radio show if Rush hadn’t paved the way. He, and his clueless opinion can take a hike as far as I’m concerned.
Unlike folks like me who want THAT ONE to fail personally as well as politically and have to hide under the Kennedy desk for the next four years just to avoid the Lame-stream media harpies nipping at his heels every time he shows his face. I'd rather see him leave in disgrace before summer, but I realize that's unrealistic and unnattainable given the cover the DNC media have afforded him.
RIGHT ON, NVA!!!!! When I heard Obama's comments yesterday, they sounded so hollow, so dull, so empty, so phoney! He didn't sound sincere at all...he didn't sound like he believed one word of it. He was obviously just going through the motions of just reading it! There's no way in Whooville that Obama believed even one single word of what he was spouting.
