Layoffs are hitting hard everywhere.

Here in Northern Minnesota, (Franken/Obama country) the factories (all 4 of them) are laying off half their workforces.

These people were living high on the hog for years, well beyond their means and most didn't save a dime. Now, they will probably lose their trailer houses and their new or leased vehicles will go back to the bank or the dealer.

But they are all talking about still having Food Stamps and home heating subsidies in an unlimited supply. The Democrats are their heroes.

My wife is a cadre writer for a Mlps-based management consulting firm. Most departments are being asked to have people take 4-6 weeks off unpaid leave. Some of the regional consultants have been notified, "don't call us, we'll call you when there's work".

Things are staring to spiral out there...
