Ok kids... I've signed on for Tom's list. I'm currently acting as PoC for my home State of MN. As stated, this is a pre-caution. This is one step for getting active and an attempt to "do something" other than whine on the Internet or join up with yet another failed letter writing campaign.
You don't have to join this list. Form your own. Find those people you shoot with, go bowling with, have an after Church lunch with, that would interested in answering a call during an all out TEOTWAWKI/SHTF scenario.
If you have been active at all on the Internet, with the NRA, or politically, then more than likely you are already on some government list or another. Paranoia over this may be warranted, but if your tinfoil is wrapped that tight already, this isn't going to add to it much.
Things are getting bad out there folks. Luck favors the prepared.

Excellent and about time, I’ve already been contacting like minded neighbors, but I will start expanding my personal network and getting the message out...
As you previously stated... and that is something I was taught in the military... Luck ALWAYS favors the prepared.
Thanks for the post!

From the mountains of SW Virginia, we are ready for the call. I’ve talked to many and have asked if they would be willing to give up their firearms? The answer is always the same, “Hell NO.” Without a means to resist, we become slaves.

Hmmm...here in my neighborhood, where the chattering classes congregate, I believe the useful idiots are stocking up on their coffee and snagging an espresso machine, just in case SYHF (Y=yogurt, instead of "S", for those of us with young children, lol), and Starbucks DOES declare bankruptcy. Yes, things could get bad. The GAP might go under, too.
Can't have last season's jeans, that would just be TEOTWAWKI...

Me too. Got wind of this effort from the
Righttokeepandbeararms.com web forum. I've seen it over at AR15.com and 10mmtalk.com already. Figured it needed to be here as well.
I'm looking at this as more of a Prayer Chain type thing. If all else fails, it gives us an excuse to get connected with like-minded folks and at the very least gives us an excuse to have a meet-n-greet or a group range day.

That's the general attitude amongst most of the gun owners I know. Some of whom have joined the ranks of the "gun culture" only recently and in response to the growing threat of government to those Rights. A "use it now before we lose it" kind of thing.
I'm okay with that. At least some are waking up. Gives me an opportunity to "take a newbie to the range". ;-)

Nah, without the caffeine they won’t be able to function and withdrawal gives you such a headache you wouldn’t believe. I’d advise buying stock in Bayer, but most of them don’t have enough education or common sense to look there for a fix.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually been in a Starbucks. If I want something that fancy, I just dig out my cappuccino machine.

None of us can stand it. It tastes like the grounds. We grind our own (when budget permits) and think it’s great. About the only time we get “fancy” is when we put a shot of Irish Whiskey, sugar and whipped cream with chocolate sprinkles. What can I say — we’re solidly middle class. ;-) I do love cappuccino when we go out to an Italian Restaurant.

I melted in home-made caramel with some Jameson once. Can't remember what kind of bean I used, it may have been a Kona blend.
Decadent.

Ooh...that sounds yummy. Snow on the ground, outside cold as Billy-be-damned, fire in the fireplace, cozy glow in the room, puppies asleep at our feet AND YOUR COFFEE. I'm in.

I’m signed up now.
Central Missouri is warming up.
Thanks for the heads up.

Unfortunately I don’t have any neighbors I would trust.
Especially not the new ones with the Obama sign......we outnumbered them 10 - 1

No prob. I figure I'm probably on a few of the govts lists already. May as well have one of our own.
"One if by Land. Two if by Sea."
Already talking to family, friends, etc... I get word from upstream, I pass it on to a couple of different mail lists and forums. Where it goes from there is up to each individual.
Better to be prepared than caught out...

Heck, our internet went down the day after Obama came into the Presidency, took a full week to get it back.

That is why later (or now) phone numbers and addresses can and should go to each regional POC, on of the first actions in a major "action" is to cut data and communications within a targeted area...
But, Remember how the original patriots did it?... horse back and lanterns.

Amen Brother, I'm not a very religious guy. But with whats happening these days, I've been rethinking that... a lot!
I've already shot the Alarm and Muster out to friends and family all over the country and I'm getting some good feed back on it, a lot of people have been feeling the same way. I have a feeling this is going to grow fast.
