The Day America Lost the War on Terror

On Nov. 4, 2008, America lost the war on terror. President Barack Obama’s feckless, pathetically apologetic perspective on foreign policy spells the end of the quest for liberty in the Middle East. It spells the end of America’s moral leadership in the global war for freedom. And it spells the end of a hard-fought campaign to protect America. Our enemies must be happily celebrating their great good fortune in America’s election of this platitudinous, morally relativistic, Jimmy Carter carbon copy in the midst of battle.

I read that, and it made me want to puke.

I have a lot of respect for Ben Shapiro, he had done a LOT in his young life, and he NAILED this one completely.

I have this bumper sticker on the rear window of my car:

My opinion regarding the quality of the American spirit took a nose dive on November 5th when I woke up that morning. I could not believe there were enough people in this country who would vote for a man like this.

Ben Shapiro has explained why I felt that way.

I am repelled by the notion of “America’s quest for Liberty in the Middle East”.
I went along with the rhetoric because I wanted to see our enemies crushed, George W. Bush was in a position to do the crushing, and he seemed to like the phrase.

In retrospect, unfortunately, it seems that he actually held a naive and foolish belief in the concept.

Barbarian tribes and robber bands can be chastised, they can be repressed, they can be exterminated - but they are not fit for civilized government, and it is idiotic to expend blood or treasure on that. It’s like making a ballgown for a pig.

Of course, Israel is fit for Liberty, and I hope they keep theirs. However, since 77% of their co-religionists in the US voted for a radical annihilationist who is now the President, this seems rather unlikely.

Mr. Shapiro, the days of “America’s quest for Liberty in the Middle East” are over - and good riddance.

The war on terror was over on Nov 4th when the sniveling, freeloading, quislings elected the mouthpiece and cohort of the terrorists Hussein obama.

With respect, sir, no you didn't. You served this country, you carried out your orders, and God bless you for it. I appreciate you and all those who serve this country.
