Man Says "He Would Like To Be Made Whole"

While "The Miracle on the Hudson" is gradually fading from the headlines, it appears clerks are toiling away in legal offices around the country to figure out who could be held legally liable in the incident under New York law, the depth of their pockets, and who'd get in line to collect.

Before we all blame the lawyers, though, it should be noted they may only be responding to passengers itching to sue US Airways for as-yet-unknown damages....

Kreindler & Kreindler, a New York law firm with a history of representing plaintiffs suing for damages in aircraft incidents, reports it has been contacted by several passengers from US Airways Flight 1549.

If they need to sue for actual damages I am fine with that as the airline should pony up for losses without having to be threatened with a lawsuit. If they are just looking for deep pockets, they should go pound sand.

It’s obvious. sue the goose with the golden egg.

Sue the environmentalists for not allowing airport officials to remove the thousands of geese living on airport grounds.

Like to be made whole? It’s a miracle his body parts weren’t spread all over NY.

I agree. I’m just disgusted that these people would even consider doing this when the alternative would be divers looking for their bodies deep in that river.

In my humble opinion, they should be down on their knees thanking God that they are on this side of the sod. Pure greed. Let them sue the geese, they caused the accident.

Wow. Outside of medical bills and okay, maybe even lost luggage and effects, what the heck are these people hoping for? Isn’t walking away with your life worth something?

We’re grateful, but we’re going to sue your airline into bankruptcy.

Losers, imo.

Pay for their injuries. Pay for their lost luggage. Pay for their hotel room and flight to leave New York. Even pay for any body parts disolved or infected by the Hudson. If they want any more, then take them out to the river, drown them and pay off their relatives.

Every passenger has already been paid $5,000.00
I doubt if very many would have damages greater than that, unless they have some very expensive clothes, electronic equipment, irreplacable items, etc. in their baggage.

I thought I read that the airline already gave every passenger $5,000 for their trouble.

Maybe US Airways could join as a plaintiff against the envirowackos, since they’re out a whole plane - far more than any of the passengers.
