Only recent history has shown Mexico to have any semblance of a stable government. Fragmentation and revolution is the pattern of Mexico, usually with banditos involved. What is new is that drugs are the catalyst.
Now, perhaps we understand their need for “open borders” and the Mexican government’s advocay of prosecuting our Border Patrol Agents.
America has always been the Mexican safety valve to keep the pressure cooker from exploding. It isn’t politically correct to say so but it sure seems like revolution and unrest are the natural state of most latin American nations.
