I disagree.  By definition we have never made mistakes and are always perfect.  The United States government and whole diplomatic structure of the United States is by law to negotiate the best position favorable to the United States. It is based upon our legal system of representatives for the client being advocates of the client without  prejudice, whether or not they are "right or wrong" based upon some other system of measurement.

In other words, we have only made mistakes and have not been perfect when looking at a situation from the exploited side. But we have been perfect with respect to American business and people.
