I applaud the girls of the Dallas Academy for not giving up. It’s a very small school that takes on girls with learning disabilities. I saw some of them interviewed on the local Dallas News and it would appear to be mild disabilities in most cases. They may not have a lot of talent but they’ve got a lot of heart.

Getting excited about scoring 100 on a team that hasn’t won a game in 4 years and includes handicapped kids is pretty pathetic.

This really is the meat of the matter. And we are always told that HS sports are more about learning things like integrity etc. It really isn't all about winning. Winning is fine, but they were GOING to win.

Coaching and HS sports are about more than just winning, running the score up.

The “winning” coach can’t give his players something he doesn’t have: Class.
