I believe it is an American strength to act as a community, to feed off each others' strengths and to shore up our mutual weaknesses. It builds a sense of singularity and commonality and bonds us together as Americans.
We root for the underdogs, but we love a winner. Most of us prefer our winners to be dignified and display class.
