I think any good tat artist could use that as a starting point and do some very cool work.

The yellow is historically important.

It's from the Gadsden Flag, considered the "First Flag of the United States" .

A related flag is this one, the First Naval Jack. It's flown today, since 2001 September 11, by US Navy Ships.

Of course I'm somwhat partial to the Gonzales Flag, which could be considered the first flag of the Texas Revolution.
