Sen. John McCain (Ariz.), the 2008 GOP presidential nominee, said Sunday he had few regrets about his White House campaign and no second thoughts about picking Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate.
I dont have a lot of regrets about it. I think we ran an honorable campaign, McCain said on Fox News Sunday.
The Arizona senator added that he was proud of things he had accomplished during the campaign and the people he surrounded himself with. In addition, he argued, the campaign may have made him more effective here in Washington in these very difficult times.
Asked specifically about Palin, McCain stressed that there were no regrets.
I think the world of Sarah Palin. She energized our party. She has a bright future in our party. Im pleased to have known her and her wonderful family, he stated.
McCain noted that there is a great need for bipartisanship in light of the challenges the country and its new president are facing.

McCain was chosen by the democrat party media to lose.
And he did precisely as he was supposed to.
To: rabscuttle385
I regret that he was our candidate.

Of course he doesn’t regret it, it went exactly according to plan.
To: rabscuttle385
My biggest regret is that the SOB won’t say he doesn’t plan to run again.

Exactly....the media nominated both candidates this time...they are still very powerful. Once McCain was chosen by the liberal media he followed their orders and did not fight.
Many, many, things should have been pointed out about Barry Obama....but McCain chose to lose rather than report the truth about this empty suit.
I proudly voted for Barr...and would do so again...not because I love Bob Barr...I don’t...but I respect him for his version of the truth....he ran an open and honest campaign...unlike McQueeg.

” McCain: Not many regrets about campaign “
Of course he has no regrets....
McCain was put forward as a dole-esque throwaway candidate (because it was ‘his turn’) whose sole purpose was to be gloriously crushed under the wheels of Hillary (because it was *her* turn)....
Just because the Dems crossed him up and put up the wrong candidate, doesn’t mean that he didn’t fulfill his intended purpose.....

It would have been very nice if he had said this the week after the elction when his staff, especially Nichole Wallace and probably Steve Schmidt, was plunging their knives into her back.
Unfortunately, he didn't.
Loser.
