Ethel had broken her leg skiing (the Kennedys used to come up here to NH for skiing, drinking and debauchery back in those days) and my sister’s best friend was Ethel’s private nurse at the hospital in Plymouth. She didn’t have any kind things to say about Ethel.
I’ll have to ask her about that again when I see her. I’m sure she remembers it, even though it was at least 35 years ago. Thank goodness the Kennedys don’t ski here any more. They moved to running into trees in Kalifornikator some years ago.
