I voted for (and contributed to) McCain/Palin. I voted for (and contributed to) Cornyn. In other words, although they (especially McCain) were not everything I wanted, they were most certainly the “lesser of the two evils”.
But guess what? Now the election is over. I got what I got not because of, but in spite of, my principles.
“Conservatism lite” is not what this country needs. I am not afraid to say so. Your position that “we ought to just all get along” and accept whatever left turn the sacred Republicans drag us down would be silly if it weren’t downright dangerous to this country.
