He won, but when he asked Greg Craig for his approval during a press conference, it's obvious that he isn't the one in control. I suspect that the person on the other end of his Blackberry is the one in control.

I figured he needed his Blackberry so his handlers and string pullers could keep track of him and tell him his next move/talking points etc.
