What's pretty interesting is when one of the crazed camels charges into the crowd [of course there are no barriers] and the handlers scramble to bring them back into the ring.

For the week before the big day, the beautifully decorated camels are paraded through town to drum up excitement for the special event.

There's a lot a betting on the sidelines and lots of fights break out among the locals.
