I can't end up visiting you guys and shaking hands if I am going to grilled every time I come down here,

They're reporters (or at least they pretend to be), you bonehead. What do you think they're going to do - throw flowers!!

Another educated beyond his intelligence liberal who's too arrogant to realize it.

(OTOH, maybe BO was just lost & looking for the mens room when he wandered in.)

Hmmm.... A cryptic politician walks into a room full of people who eat, sleep and breathe “asking questions”, and true to their nature, one of them does so.

Gosh, how could anyone have ever possibly foreseen that coming?

The question to ask BO Plenty should be “Have you forgotten that you work for the people, an employee of the american people and that you are here to govern in the name of the people and not to in any way rule”?

Actually, this means he's an excellent manager. A great manager is always in control, and everyone understands it even if they aren't happy about it. If they don't, he reminds them. It's very much like a parent-child relationship.

Obama just isn't passive aggressive about it like Reagan, when Reagan would do things like pretend to not hear questions from reporters when he didn't want to answer questions. A great manager always gives the cues as to win it's time for business and when it's time for pleasure and everyone else follows that lead. He's doing the same with these reporters. He was there for pleasure, so everyone there was to follow his lead and not bring up business.

Obama is the leader of the free world. He's not the friend of the free world. He can be friendly, but that doesn't make him a friend. He doesn't have an MBA or anything, so it's interesting he knows these things and puts them into practice.

In a move to show decorum and to end the divisiveness that, in the past, had accompanied former President Bush's news conferences.....

Reporters have been asked to chant ...
U de man....U DE MAN upon seeing the emperor enter the room......... In addition,to make it fairer to ALL reporters.....Question cards will be drawn from a hat and each individual reporter will get to ask his or her particular drawn question....To make certain, because of time restraints, each reporter gets to ask a question, No follow up questions may be asked unless it appears on the card...

Maybe he was just looking for that mythical “smoke-filled newsroom” of yore so he could sneak in a Kool or two with the other addicts without Michelle busting him.

And remember who his team is made up of. Former Clinton people. Wonder if they have hired an investigation agency to find information on their enemies that they can used against them.

Am I the only one who wishes OUR guys would get tough with the press like this.

I’m admiring his taking control. F the media,

I agree. I just posted after you expressing the same sentiment. I think the people here who are portraying Obama as a fool are way off base. I have watched him this week and you don't eff with Barack Obama. He makes that clear to everyone. He's got a lot of alpha male in him and I respect that. He's not afraid or apologetic about being powerful and in charge.

President Obama made a surprise visit to the White House press corps Thursday night, but got agitated when he was faced with a substantive question.

Also the Presidential podium has been enlarged to accommodate reporters who wish to kneel down to "service" the President.

+1.
The press is slowly starting to wake up and, yes, the honeymoon is over and what they are rolling over to in bed is NOT what they climbed into bed with the night before. BOTH sides of that drunken marriage are horrified.

The meltdown is inevitable. The truth of the matter is the election was for the left never about getting 0 elected but defeating the Republicans. He is a charismatic bantamweight wannabe statesman, but an extremist. A perfect combination for his handlers because he represented “change” in the extreme—”the frustrated electorate will vote for him on that alone”—AND he can be bent, shaped, and controlled by those who truly do own his career and position.

Time and again he's gone to pieces and become excessively evasive and defensive over the slightest deviation from "the message" and script. When reporters have asked mundane but slightly off-message questions the guy reacted as if he had been sucker punched while taking Communion in church.

Think of him as a glass-jawed Gumby with nuke codes.

Actually, the intimidation tactics of a ‘my way or the highway’ management style are not considered effective in the corporate world anymore. The ‘feel-good’ PC types have replaced it with a more sensitive, collaborative approach. This bully approach to ‘controlling’ everyone’s actions and behavior with looks, stares, and intimidation is more likea mob boss (e.g. Chicago politics)or a tyrannical dictator.

But you keep telling yourself he’s a great manager.

Maybe that’s what the Supreme Court is doing with these Birth Certificate cases. Maybe they are keeping an escape hatch so the Powers that Be can see if he is “working out”.

Maybe we have a president on a 90 day trial period. Perhaps if the wheels come off the bus, we can say, technically he wasn’t qualified to be president and then the Powers That Be can give him his walking papers. Of course, then we would have Biden but hey, one brain annurism and Hillary ends up president anyway. Sounds like a plan.

Obama was upset because the reporter caught him in a lie. The undersecretary of defense he has appointed is a former lobbyist violating Obama’s pledge not to have former lobbyists in his administration. Lord Obama is used to having the press as his propaganda arm not asking him embarassing questions.
