Feeling the heat...finally!
The GOP Wilderness ^ | January 23, 2009 | The GOP Willderness

Since President Obama never had to answer to the press as candidate Obama, yesterday's explosion in the WH press room was more than interesting and should bring smiles to us conservatives. Here was the newly minted U.S. president taking what he thought was a lovely stroll into the lion's den and finally something happened: the press actually asked Obama a real question:

As the Politico documents:

Asked how he could reconcile a strict ban on lobbyists in his administration with a Deputy Defense Secretary nominee who lobbied for Raytheon, Obama interrupted with a knowing smile on his face.

"Ahh, see," he said, "I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can't end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here."

Pressed further by the Politico reporter about his Pentagon nominee, William J. Lynn III, Obama turned more serious, putting his hand on the reporter's shoulder and staring him in the eye.

"Alright, come on" he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. "We will be having a press conference at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys - that's all I was trying to do."

At that moment the president surely awoke to the fact that he was president and no, President Bush was no longer around to get his teeth kicked in. Despite the media's love affair with the Democrats and for this president, in particular, many in the media still want a story and will expect real answers from the nation's president.

Let's hope that real questions for this president continue.

The emperor’s new clothes are showing, sooner than expected (but not as soon as we’d hoped, unfortunately).

...many in the media still want a story and will expect real answers from the nation's president.

The celebration is over, and the reporters are seeing newspapers large and small laying off reporters all around them... and they know they have to get back to basics and start reporting again.

The reporters should have reported earlier on this dufus. Now, they too, are stuck with this fiasco which will probably ruin a lot of their careers.

...as long as you follow the "program" and I know what your going to ask, much like I did during the primaries, if your selected during MY press conferences, you MAY question me, It's called Obama TARNSPARENCY....DIDN'T YOU HEAR MY speech on transparency? Now submit your credentials to MY staff and wait for my reply....Thank you all very much

The press can do whatever they care to. Quite obviously they helped shove the “magic negro” down our throats.
Now many have NO confidence in the media.
It WILL get worse as many come to the realization that this guy is an assclown socialist.
I will never again trust anything a reporter says or writes.
If every news paper in the U.S. folds I’ll not lose a moments sleep.

The king does not wish to be bothered.

Actually, the truth is, the king doesn’t know the answers because he doesn’t have the script in front of him.

What a fake.
What a dufus.
And what a loser.

don’t kid yourself. The press will never turn on the RATS. Doesn’t matter what they do or say. Think of anything that looks like a disagreement and put it in context of a lover’s squabble. They might actually fight briefly on occassion, but make no mistake, the love will always be there. And woe to any outsider (like conservative) who jumps into the squabble. You will see the same result as jumping between a husband and wife, they will both turn on the outsider.

I’m just surprised, after making Gitmo’s closing a cornerstone of his campaign, he had no actual plan for its closure. Yesterday he simply named a task force to look into it’s closing within one year. This suggests a lot of questions for President Obama.

For one, “Why were you so sure it needed to be closed if you didn’t even understand the situation as you have now clearly admitted?”

Second, “It seems the issues that are preventing its immediate closure by you are the same ones that led to its very opening by in the first place by President Bush. Don’t you think if these answers were so easily forthcoming, President Bush would have resolved them by now?”

And finally, “If one these men released by you commits some horrific act of terror, should that be considered sufficient reason to impeach you? Your number one job, after all, is to protect the American public from outside enemies.

Put another way, President Bush understood his role as Commander and Chief. By seeding so much of your constitutional authority to the courts and to public opinion, are you really being a leader?

Poor guy, he should have just asked the questions that are well within zero’s pay grade. Like “Have you picked out the new puppy yet?” or “boxers or briefs?” or even “What inaugural ball did you enjoy the most?”

The no answer man speaks, his only insurance policy right now is Biden.

Don't forget Greg Craig. Obamalamadingdong had to refer to Craig several times yesterday for clarification on the contents of the Executive Orders he was issuing because he clearly didn't know what was in "his own" Executive Orders.

Does he sound like the smartest man in the room now?

He will rule like a King, never allowing questioning and not having to worry about those beneath him.

Thanks, MSM!
