To be fair, I read the piece very quickly! I'm glad to hear about your cousin. My goal with the books is not to preach to the choir, but to sway the reachable 10% in the middle. That's why I use a female protagonist, for example. She demonstrates the empowerment that comes from being armed and well trained. I'd rather have women learn this, and take the first steps down the road to personal defense and freedom, than practically anything else.

Even the anti-freedom types know that if they lose a significant portion of single women to us on this issue, they lose.

I find that most women are receptive, once you can get past the media induced conditioning. Single women are often very receptive because they may not have a man to protect them.

When I was reading Enemies Foreign and Domestic, I often thought of my daughter, who is a real life approximation (she was on the pistol team in college).
